You might not have been invited to the Oscars, but you can put your best glad-rags on for this one if you like? Sydney’s north shore is about to get some of the best flicks, at Flickerfest - Australia's premier International short film festival! If you’re a movie-buff, you don’t want to miss this event!

Over the last 19 years Flickerfest has grown in popularity and it’s the only short film festival with Academy® accreditation. This year, there were 1600 entries from filmmakers all across the globe.

Flickerfest's awesome selection of award-winning shorts, the ‘Best Of Australian Shorts’, is currently touring nationally to 25 venues. This weekend, it’s crossing the Bridge from the famous Bondi Flickerfest to North Sydney Oval.

Chris Kezelos and Hannah Hilliard, and producers, Christine Kezelos and Linda Micsko will be talking about making and showing their films, after which you’re free to fire your questions at them.

Screening in the programme is recent Berlin Film Festival hit and winner 'Franswa Sharl'.  This film won a top prize at the Berlinale – the Crystal Bear for the Best Short Film. All fingers are crossed for another highlight on Sunday,’ Miracle Fish’, which scored a recent Oscar® nomination.

Other highlights screening on the night include ‘Celestial Avenue’ – winner of the Madman Award for Best Australian Short Film at Flickerfest 2010, and IF Award-winning ‘Ralph’, directed by  Australian actress Deborah Mailman.

Gate opens at 6.30pm.
Meet the Filmmakers: 7.00-7.45pm
