Dylan Mills, known professionally as Dizzee Rascal, was formerly a Roll Deep crew member, who emerged from the UK Garage music scene. His music is an eclectic mixture of garage and hip-hop beats with an extremely broad palette of influences, ranging from metal guitars to found sounds, drill and bass synth lines, eclectic samples and even Japanese court music. His vocal performance is also distinctive, he uses a fast version of rapping (known as ‘spitting’) which blends elements from garage MCing, conventional rap, grime and ragga.

Dizzee began MCing on pirate radio as a teenager and become a legend in the process. When he recorded the single "I Luv U', the success paved the way for his first full-length album, "Boy In Da Corner", with it winning the acclaimed 2003 Mercury Prize.
"Fix Up, Look Sharp" was the second song off the album and gave Dizzee his first UK top 20 single and was the biggest hit from the album.
Later in the year he collaborated with Basement Jaxx on their track "Lucky Star" from the album Kish Kash. The track gave Dizzee his third top 30 hit.

2004 had Dizzee winning an NME Award, releasing a new album "Showtime", which went #8 in the UK and had more chart success with the singles "Stand Up Tall" and "Dream" both going top 20.
Dizzee also contributed to the remake of Band-Aid's "Do They Know Its Christmas", and was the only person to add new lyrics to the song since the original, when he rapped two lines for it.

Dizzee really hit the big time with his 2008 crossover smash "Dance Wiv Me" a collaborative effort with producer Calvin Harris. He followed this with Armand Van Helden's co-production "Bonkers" and Dizzee's own "Holiday". All three singles hit no.1 on the UK Charts! Newest single "Dirtee Cash" has just been added to radio.
