Eighty-two-year-old hoon driver Judith Slade is looking for a live-in driver that she’ll leave her estate to.
[audiolink]100879[/audiolink]Judith was on Hughesy and Kate’s breakfast show on Nova 100 this morning after it was reported in the Herald Sun that she had lost her license for drink-driving over the weekend. It came six months after she was clocked driving at 164 km/h while on her way to see her former lover.
Judith said she would like Hughesy, Kate, or even Ash Williams to move in to her property at Heathcote in central Victoria, live with her, and drive her around.
“What I’m offering now is free accommodation for a live-in driver,” she said.
“And if I get a nice friend for the last couple of years I’ve got on earth they can have the house and the property when I die.
“How about one of you friends come along, you could save a lot of money that way couldn’t you?”
Ash seemed the keenest, saying it was “right up my alley”.
Judith said the drink driving charge came after she was dobbed on by someone after returning from buying a saw for a handyman that was working at her place.
“Someone told the police that I drove the car. I was under restriction and they came down and booked me,” she said.
She said the speeding offence in July last year was the first of her life.
“It was a mistake, one out. I’ve been driving for 55 years and that was the first booking I’ve ever had. And I’ve never had an accident and never had an insurance claim,” she said.
And now because of losing her license she’s also lost her lover.
“Because of my age, they reckon I shouldn’t be in love with anybody,” she said, “you’re not allowed to be in love when you get old! Shocking isn’t it?
“I’m single, I’m alone. I’ve got my pet doggy and that’s all.
“I’ve got plenty of means, the point is I’ve got no company because the police have made a criminal out of me.”
