Alexa Chung forced to remove photo from Instagram after skinny backlash

Normally this wouldn’t be newsworthy (unless it’s a really slow news day) but it is because it caused hundreds of her followers to enter into a debate about her skinny frame.

After two hours of people commenting on the image, in which her legs look stick thin, she decided to address the issue. She wrote: 'Ok everyone thanks for the teen angst discussions.

'People are different sizes. I'm not trying to be thinspo for anyone,'

If anything this caused people to talk about it even more, which led Alexa to delete the post all together. She worte: 'I am now making this acct private. Byyyyyeeee'

Alexa has spoke out in the past about being the subject of online bullying. At the time she said: 'It was genuinely horrible. I stopped using Twitter for a while because I got so much s**t about being anorexic. And I'm not.'
