You know you are a big star when you can just write yourself a role on a hit television show, which is exactly what Anne Hathaway has done.
The Golden Globe-nominated actress, who lost to Natalie Portman last night, will guest star on Glee playing Kurt's lesbian aunt.
"It was her idea, and with someone like her, it's sort of hard to say no!" the show's executive producer Brad Falchuck said.
"We don't generally get excited about guest stars just for the sake of guest stars, but when you have someone like Gwyneth or Anne Hathaway where you can say, 'They are amazing', they are big gifts to you."
Hathaway cemented the deal at the Golden Globes last night, telling reporters how excited she was.
"Can I make a confession? In my head, I've written a part for myself on Glee. That's so arrogant and obnoxious...In my head, I've cast myself on Glee and I know which song I would sing.
As for Kurt, Chris Colfer was pumped for the storyline: "Anne Hathaway lesbian - that sentence is awesome!"
