The search is ON for AUSTRALIA’S NEXT TOP MODEL, with a nationwide audition tour to select the finalists who will star in the sixth series of the smash hit FOX8 show.
For those of you haven’t heard of it or for those of you that don’t have Foxtel (sob) Australia's Next Top Model is an Australian reality television series based on the American series of the same name, which was created and co-produced by Tyra Banks.
The show chooses finalists to compete week by week to become Australia’s Next Top Model. The winner receiving a contract for an established model agency, prize money and other sponsored treats.
At the auditions I must admit in person I wasn't totally shocked by an array of beauty and glamour. It was a long line of very youthful and hopeful young ladies. And to my surprise, the interesting characters, the more gawky characters really did come up better on camera.
The process is a long one. You line up and fill out an 80 question application, to then walk in front of three judges, one being the lovely but slightly intimidating Charlotte Dawson. If you are one of the lucky 50 that were picked up from the Chadstone bunch you wait to have a screen test (speak in front of camera) to big scary Foxtel executives. From that point we sadly learnt we would have to wait until closer to the series. Which promises to be bigger and better!
