The recently reformed Ben Folds Five will release a new album, The Sound of the Life of the Mind, in September.
The record will be the trio's first since 1999's The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner.
Ben Folds Five undertook a successful grassroots campaign on PledgeMusic in order to make the album, reaching out directly to fans.
Those fans will get the album first, with the rest of the world's turn coming on September 21, when it is released worldwide.
Since disbanding in 2000, the three members of Ben Folds Five have gone onto other projects, notably frontman Ben Folds' solo career.
They got back together in 2011 to release a retrospective anthology and to record three new tracks, and what eventuated was the band's first live performance together in over a decade.
Now they're back, slated to perform at the Harvest festival in Australia this November, where tracks old and new will be played to fans.
