Bill & Ted 3 on the way

Keanu Reeves has confirmed the script for the third instalment of Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure has been completed.

"Yeah, we have a script," Reeves told The Independent. "It's a good script, too."

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure became a cult classic after its release in 1989, and was followed up with Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey in 1991.

Reeves will reprise his role as metalhead slacker Ted, and Alex Winter will return as Bill.

The script is said to follow Bill and Ted as they write a song that will save the world.
