Bloc Party frontman Kele will go it alone this June as he releases his debut solo album The Boxer.
Kele teamed up with Spank Rock producer XXXChange for his solo effort, piecing together an album of electronic pop songs.
The first single from the album, "Tenderoni", is due for release in mid-June, but has already leaked online. You can listen to it here.
When discussing his plans for The Boxer, Kele explained that "the key for the sound of the record was to take things as harsh and as physical as I could make it. The reason for going there was that these are the sounds that make me the happiest in the world."
The Boxer is scheduled for a June release.
