Deborah Harry and Chrissie Hynde, two of music's finest frontwomen, will team up this summer as they tour Australia together.
Hynde and Harry will tour with their respective bands -- Blondie and The Pretenders -- as they cross the nation for a series of theatre and a day on the green winery performances.
This incredible double-bill will kick of a day on the green's 10th anniversary year, setting a high bar for the rest of the season.
Blondie emerged from the New York punk scene in the '70s, with frontwoman Harry becoming one of the most influential music and style icons of her generation.
Harry and ther rest of the band will return to Australia in support of their eighth studio album Panic of Girls; the band's first new music since 2003's The Curse of Blondie. Panic of Girls is due for a release in the second half of 2010.
Co-headlining all dates will be English rockers The Pretenders. Their last Australian tour drew rave reviews, with Hynde declaring the shows "some of our favourite shows of all time".
With a live CD/DVD set for release, fans will be able to experience exactly what they can expect of a live performance from The Pretenders ahead of their tour.
Tickets on sale Tuesday 15 June.
