Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's biological daughter Shiloh so desperately wants to be a boy that she cried over having long hair.
The four-year-old tomboy was snapped by paparazzi on the weekend wearing nothing but a pair of boy's boardshorts while swimming.
Tabloids and blogs in the US were quick to label her "gender neutral" because of her tomboy style.
But Shiloh so desperately wants to be a boy that Angelina said she once cried and begged to be allowed to cut her hair off.
"It's not my choice. I have a very strong-willed four-year-old girl, who tells me what she wants to wear and I let her be who she is," she told Grazia.
"I think people think kids should be a certain way, but I feel they should wear what they feel like wearing and they should express themselves.
"Shiloh cried one night and said, 'Please cut my hair off. I don't want to have long hair.' I'm not going to leave it long because somebody thinks I should."
Good on Ang and shame on the paparazzi that secretly snapped little Shiloh in her togs. Can't a kid go through a tomboy stage without the whole world knowing?
