Phew – blink and you’ll miss it hey? The Brit Awards 2010 hit London today and the winners have been decided (the guests are probably knee-deep in Moet by now).
Lady Gaga stole the show (and the awards), bagging three gongs in total. Her performance was the talk of the night; she ditched the theatrics and opted for a simple and moving performance of “Telephone”. It was just her, a piano and a lot of hair. The performance was dedicated to her late friend, fashion designer Alexander McQueen. In the background, a (downright spooky) statue of Gaga in his famous heels watched on.
Before the event, Gaga tweeted: “Tonight's performance is inspired by our friend. Mask by Phillip Treacy, Sculpture by Nick Knight, Music by Lady Gaga. We miss you.”
Lily Allen performed (she hit the stage from above – riding on a rocket). Cheryl Cole, Florence & the Machine, Dizzee Rascal, Kasabian, Jay-Z, JLS and Robbie Williams also performed. So, you want the full list of winners? Wrap your peepers around these:
