Britney Spears' manager, Larry Rudolph, has denied reports that boyfriend Jason Trawick hit the pop star.
The articles, published by Star magazine and Radar Online are based on a alleged phone call recorded between Britney's ex-husband Jason Alexander and the 28-year-old pop star.
In the recording, the man asks if her "fiancé" proposed to her on a beach. The woman answers, "Before or after he beat on me?" The woman goes on to say, "It is true that he [beat me], but it's not true that I accepted [his proposal]." The recording stops after the woman says, "My dad doesn't want him around me right now. My dad has a shotgun, and he's just waiting to use it."
Rudolph calls it a "fabricated" story and says legal action is planned. "This is 100 percent not true," Rudolph told Us Weekly. "The recording is not Britney."
