Carrie Bickmore has paid tribute to her "courageous" husband Greg Lange, following his tragic death from cancer last week.
Lange died on Monday surrounded by friends and family in Perth, after being diagnosed with brain cancer in 2001.
Bickmore, a former Nova 100 talent and co-host of The 7pm Project, released a statement today after her colleagues Dave Hughes and Charlie Pickering spoke of her loss on-air last night.
"I'm doing my best to draw comfort knowing that Greg is now resting peacefully," she said in the statement.
"He fought so courageously for so long. I feel so blessed to have little Ollie in my life.
"The support we have received has been overwhelming and we all feel blessed to have so many good and loving people surrounding us at such a sad and distressing time."
Bickmore and Lange married in 2005 and had their first child Ollie in 2007.
In a statement Channel 10 asked for privacy on behalf of Bickmore.
"Carrie and family are extremely thankful for the support, care and consideration they have received during this period, especially the last 12 months.
"Privacy and understanding at this diffcult time is appreciated so they may now grieve as a family."
Lange will be laid to rest in Perth later this week.
