Adam Goldstein (aka DJ AM) was found dead in his New York apartment on Friday 28th August 2009. A crack pipe and half a bag of crack cocaine were allegedly found near his body.
It is reported that Goldstein was scheduled to perform at the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas that night. He sent a text message at 1am that morning about the gig.
Sixteen hours later, he was found dead.
Goldstein was involved in a horrific plane crash last september in which he suffered 3rd degree burns. Blink-182’s Travis Barker was the only other survivor.
Goldstein has a very public struggle with drugs, most of which was documented in the MTV reality show Gone Too Far. His ex girlfriend was reality TV star Nicole Richie.
