Talk about bite the hand that feeds you - Christina Hendricks is reportedly dieting to lose the curves that made her famous.
The voluptuous Mad Men star has embarked on her first ever diet to lose weight to confirm to Hollywood's long-term love affair with skinny women.
It could prove a disasterous move for Hendricks, who has become a role model for curvaceousness to the point that a UK politician called her the ideal woman and urged more women to aspire to her body type.
Her womanly curves have also influenced high fashion designers who have unveiled collections with a strong '50s and '60s influence with an emphasis on full skirts and busty tops.
Her va-va-voom figure has even sparked a new obsession with curvier models, with Lara Stone, Christy Turlington and our own Miranda Kerr booking coveted spots on the runway with luxe designer labels.
"Christina has got sick of all the talk of her being the curviest woman in Hollywood. For her it basically meant she was being called fat," a source said.
"Now she's gone against everything she believed in before by going on the first diet of her life.
"Christina has cut out carbs, and alcohol, although she's not a big drinker. She's eating fish oil to break down fat and pak choi and edamame nearly every meal."
Hendricks has previously stated some of the attention her curves have got her has hurt her feelings and that she struggled to get a designer to lend her a dress for this year's Emmys because they only came in size two or zero.
No doubt she'll soon be whinging about always being hungry and not winning any more of these sexiest lady awards instead. We know which we'd rather.
