Curtis Stone blames Dannii Minogue for turning "crazy" Sharon Osbourne against all Australians.
The likeable celebrity chef said Osbourne had it in for him from the start on Celebrity Apprentice, accusing him of being "smug like so many Australians".
"I think Dannii Minogue must have upset her. I don't know what it was but she had it in for me," he told Hughesy and Kate.
"We ended up being friends but she is a little bit crazy."
Despite her constant digs directed at Stone on the reality television competition, which was eventually won by Bret Michaels, the chef got his revenge.
"I did mention to her that she wasn't the rockstar, it was her husband. She didn't like that comment though," he said.
These days the affable bloke has forged a strong following with his fresh and tasty on-screen cooking in the US.
He's been on Oprah and has a deal with NBC for a new reality television show called America's Next Great Restaurant.
As one of the four judges on the show, Curtis is investing his money in the winner who will be given the funds to open three restaurants in three cities.
"It takes elements of the MasterChef idea I guess, where you have got everyday people who have an idea and we narrow it down and set them all up and they have to design their own restaurants and design their uniforms and all of that sort of stuff," he said.
"It's sort of a little bit of a different idea where the hosts are actually the people funding the project, so it's fun. It's a bit bloody nerve wracking as well because it's our cash!"
