Dave Grohl honoured in hometown with 408kg drumsticks
Dave Grohl's hometown of Warren, Ohio will honour the rockstar this weekend when a pair of 408kg drumsticks is unveiled.
The musician, who currently fronts the Foo Fighters and previously hit the sticks for grunge legends Nirvana, already has a street named after him in Warren - Dave Grohl Alley, opened back in 2009.
But they're taking it one step further, reports Rolling Stone, with the oversized sticks, made out of poplar, going on public display on Saturday July 7 at the Warren Amphitheater.
They will be moved to Dave Grohl Alley in September.
Warren policeman Joe O'Grady has said that feathers have been etched into the sticks, to mimic Grohl's arm tattoos.
The sticks are believed to be the largest in the world.
It is currently unknown as to whether Grohl will attend the unveiling.
