Dance producer deadmau5 has launched an expletive-filled attack against Madonna via his Facebook page.
Madonna appeared with dance act Avicii over the weekend, making headlines after she made interesting comments on stage.
She asked the crowd: "How many people in this crowd have seen Molly?" - a question many believe was a thinly veiled drug reference.
And deadmau5 hasn't taken the comment too well.
"very classy there madonna. "HUR DUR HAS ANYONE SEEN MOLLY???" such a great message for the young music lovers at ultra," he wrote on his page. "quite the f'n philanthropist. but hey, at least yer HIP AND TRENDY! fucking cant smack my head hard enough right now."
He didn't stop there, however, continuing: "seriously, i giveth not a f**king single F**K for slating on madonna for reaching an entirely NEW level of idiocy ... i can appriciate her meteoric career, and all good deeds done, but WHAT THE F**K WAS THAT? That's your big contribution to EDM? Thats your big message to ultra attendies? hipsterspeak for looking for drugs? f**k off you f**king IDIOT. f**k."
With over 20,000 likes across the two status updates, it seems like deadmau5's fans are backing his comments.
UPDATE: Madonna has responded (sort of) to deadmau5's comments. To celebrate the release of her album, MDNA, Madonna is answering fan questions on Twitter. One asked her "The one thing you would NEVER do?" to which Madonna responded "use drugs". Case closed?
