Delamare, a finalist in Nova’s I Am With The Band 2011 competition, has released their Circles and Squares debut album following a stint of shows on the Rock The Schools tour.
Now on the third successful single release from the album, Delamare tells Nova how the inspiration behind their rock ballad “Lost Boys” came from a childrens character.
“The lyrics stemmed from the characters of the same name in Peter Pan who live without parents in a strange world, which we related to our experience of living away from home for six months in Melbourne whilst we recorded our album.”

Feeling lost is not a battle these Adelaide rockers are set to lose as they explain the journey of creating their debut album and surviving in the Australian music industry.
“You have to absolutely love what you do and believe in it wholeheartedly, or else you will quickly become disillusioned with how long it takes to progress anywhere.
“The toughest thing is not getting noticed by people in the industry, but as we’ve learnt the only remedy for that is to keep on touring until people don’t have a choice but to take notice of what you are doing.”
Delamare will take a short break following their recent tour and album release, but won’t be leaving fans for too long as they regroup in a couple of months to work on their second studio album with renowned producer Charles Fisher (Savage Garden).
