Ash Williams has declared medical student Kate ‘worth getting sick for’, after she made the final of Nova’s Miss Univers-ity competition.
Kate’s entry was one of five chosen from the 500-plus entries that have flooded in to Nova since Miss Univers-ity launched at the start of the week.
Kate, who is in her third year of her bachelor of surgery/medicine at Monash, says she is already getting real experience as a doctor by sneaking into free doctor lunches.
“Along with most medial students, I’ve discovered that doctors gets HEAPS of free stuff,” she wrote in her entry. “It’s just a matter of hanging a stethoscope around my neck and I gain access to drug-company funded free lunches!”
The fifth finalist for Miss Univers-ity was also chosen. It was law student Jesse, who works as a lifeguard and a Subway sandwich artist to get herself through uni.
Her entry had a strong message for the men of Melbourne.
“Stop wearing those man leggings,” Jesse wrote. “I could not date a man who could share my clothes or even my favourite pair of skinny leg jeans.”
Entries close at 4pm on Friday so be quick if you want your chance at the most ridiculously amazing prize ever. On Monday, Hughesy and Kate will announce the ten finalists (five more still to be decided)… then voting will start on who should be Nova’s Miss Univers-ity!
