Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins to portray Iggy Pop on screen
Taylor Hawkins, drummer of the Foo Fighters, has been tapped to play legendary rocker Iggy Pop in a new film.
CBGB will follow the tales of rock stars in the iconic club of the same name, where many bands saw their starts in the 1970s and '80s.
Other stars who will appear in the film include The Big Bang Theory's Johnny Galecki, who will play manager Terry Ork, Mickey Sumner, who will play Patti Smith, Malin Ackerman, Joel David Moore and Rupert Grint.
Production on the film is expected to begin June 25 in Savannah, Georgia before heading to New York.
