Fremantle Football Club have released a brief statement regarding an alleged drug related incident involving player Michael Johnson.

In relation to recent media inquiries involving Fremantle player Michael Johnson and a drug related matter, CEO Steve Rosich issued the following statement:
“The club is aware of the matter and has informed the AFL,” he said.
“We are treating it very seriously. We are currently gathering all relevant information and will make further comment when we are in a position to do so.
“There will be no comment from the club until that time.”
A Perth website reported that Polices sources have revealed that Michael Johnson is alleged to have been found in possession of the drug cocaine on Saturday night.
No charges have been laid
A statement released by WA Police said: "WA Police are investigating a drug related matter on the weekend involving a current AFL player, no charges have been laid at this stage and no further details are available for release.
We will be making no further comment until the investigation has been concluded.''
