Russell Brand is English, so he probably has a view on the engagement of Prince William and Kate Middleton, right?
Well, Britain's former Shagger of the Year has an interesting explanation for the customs of royals getting married - even better than Camilla's "wicked" comment (a hard one to beat).
"The aristocracy are planning to clatter their genitals at each other, but first they swap expensive jewels. It is a custom. Then there will be a new king," he explained on Conan.
Brand said he doesn't mind a monarchy if it is a powerless as Prince William and Prince Charles are to hair loss.
"I think that's quite nice to have a monarchy - because I like those shiny hats they wear. I also enjoy elaborate furniture - thrones and what not," he said.
"But hierarchial structures, which accentuate privilege and oppress people, I'm not so into. But then when I do meet royals, I get all giddy."
Brand is probably feeling particularly giddy at the moment, having dodged any trouble for allegedly assaulting a photographer at an airport in September.
The case against Brand was dropped. He had been charged with assault but maintained he had been protecting wife Katy Perry's dignity as a photographer tried to shoot up her skirt.
