Transvestites and Britney Spears will both feature on season two of Glee, its creator has revealed.
Ryan Murphy told fans at San Diego's Comic-Con this week that the show has a Rocky Horror Picture Show tribute planned.
The cast will also perform six Britney Spears songs in a "hallucinogenic" episode devoted to the popstar.
Murphy refused to divulge specific details on the Britney episode, which hasn't been filmed yet and will air in the US in September.
He did say it would revolve around Matthew Morrison's real-life comments that he didn't want the show to do a Britney episode.
"The entire episode is Schuester saying, 'I don't want to do Britney! I don't want to do Britney!' We're doing it in a really fun, hallucenogenic way," Murphy said.
Airhead cheerleader Brittany will be the main focus of the Britney episode, which could also feature a cameo from the popstar.
Also speaking at Comic-Con, Glee star Chris Colfer admitted he most wanted to perform "The Time Warp" from the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
"Funnily enough, we are doing a Rocky Horror episode," Murphy answered.
Colfer's character Kurt will also get a boyfriend in the new season.
"I wanted Kurt to have the high school experience that I didn’t have," said openly gay Murphy.
"I want him to have a boyfriend and for them to be prom king and king. I think that’s something important to put out into the world."
He also said Amber Riley, who plays Mercedes, will get to perform more solo tunes in the new season. One episode will focus on religion, and Mercedes will be at the centre of it.
"We’re working on an episode about religion, and we get to go with Amber’s character to her church," Ryan explained.
