To complement the release of Eyes Wide Open, the compelling first taste of the his forthcoming longplayer, producer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Gotye will premiere a new solo theatre show in Sydney and Melbourne in January 2011.
These shows mark the ARIA Award winner's first performance in three years.
Incorporating material from his acclaimed records Boardface and Like Drawing Blood, as well as songs from his much-anticipated new album, expect an arresting collision of sounds, sets and projections. From post-apocalyptic sonic wastelands to '60s soul-inspired pop pastiches, the show is being touted as being "as varied and unique as Gotye's studio experiments".
Gotye is also appearing at the national Laneway Festival but tickets to the Sydney and Melbourne events have completely sold out.
