She was the very first contestant to get the keys to a house but Joanne is the third person to get the boot from The Renovators.
The hard-working mum from Victoria had the keys to the 'Sixties Suburban house' but it was Joanne and her team that found themselves in an elimination challenge after they failed to wow the judges with their coffee table creations in the Natale designed room.
With the elimination broken down into two rounds the team was split into two and were first tested to see how good they were at judging the property market (Caboolture, QLD) based on comparable values. Chris and Tina’s estimate was closest to the professional valuations, which kept them safe.
After losing the first round Joanne and Nathan had to individually use scale models to show the judges what they would do to renovate the Caboolture (QLD) house for maximum profit. The judges felt Nathan pitched a more profitable plan which sent the 41-year-old working mum home.
Walking away from the competition so early Joanne isn’t looking at her elimination as a fail but more of a confidence builder. “I was just so blown away to be the first one to get keys to a property and very proud. It will be a real shame not to be there to see the Castle Hill property finished but I know I'll eagerly be watching it on TV!” said Joanne.
