Get your political hat on baby! The Chaser boys have announced their return to TV for four weeks in the lead-up yo the election. Their new show will be called YES WE CANBERRA! and will air on ABC1 on Wednesday nights at 9.45pm.
Yep, sometime in the next twelve months an election is sure to hit and everyone is talking about it. But how the hell do you get involved?
It's pretty easy really - and a must if you want a say in who's going to run this massive lump of soil we call Oz.
Here's how:
To enrol to vote for the first time, or to change your address (or name) on the electoral roll, just fill out an enrolment form online, return it to the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) and you will be added to the electoral roll.
There are several ways you can return your form to the AEC. In person, by mail, fax or email.
If online ain't your thing, you can also enrol by picking up the paper forms from:
+Australia Post outlets
+Any Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) office
+Tax office shopfronts
+Centrelink customer centres
+Medicare outlets
+Some Rural Transaction Centres
When your enrolment form has been received and processed the AEC will send you a confirmation letter. You can check your enrolment details online.
Easy as. Get on the case...
