The older sister of a teenage boy battling cancer has begun an internet campaign to nab country sweetheart Taylor Swift as his prom date.
Kevin McGuire, from New Jersey, was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 13 and, though he eventually beat it, relapsed this year.
The 18-year-old's sister, Victoria, has started a Facebook event hoping to attract Swift as his prom date - on his birthday, no less! - as "NOTHING brightens Kevin's day more than Taylor Swift".
So far, the event has over 56,000 attendees, and celebrities around the world have begun to take notice, with tweets from Perez Hilton, the Jersey Housewives and more coming through in support for "Team Kevin".
If Taylor does agree to go to the prom, she'll join a string of celebs who've gone out on dates with people who reached out via social platforms - last year, Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis both attended Marine Corps balls after being asked out on YouTube.
Recently, Justin Bieber paid a visit to a terminally ill six-year-old fan.
