From dating a cougar, to cradle snatching - Jake Gyllenhaal is a man of odds when it comes to romance and nothing is more odd than his latest date.
The Prince of Persia star has been seen out and about with sweet, young, broken hearted Taylor Swift who at 20 years of age is nine years his junior.
The couple were seen watching Swift's mate Emma Stone host Saturday Night Live over the weekend and then went on to brunch in Brooklyn.
While their reps have not confirmed a romance, onlookers said the two were careful not to get too cosy in public.
"The walked around together backstage but they were careful to be seen not too close," a source told People.
"It was hard to tell if they were together but everyone was shocked that she brought him."
If they are indeed dating, Gyllenhaal had better watch out - Swift likes to use her relationships as fodder for songs.
She recently wrote a damning one about ex John Mayer, accussing him of messing her around and breaking her heart.

Meanwhile, a younger lady is a new experience for Gyllenhaal who was most recently dating mum-of-two Reese Witherspoon - five years his senior.
