James Cameron has denied claims a planned Oscar sketch that would poke fun at his blockbuster Avatar was pulled from the show at his request.
E! Online spoke with Cameron ahead of this weekend's Oscars and the award-winning director revealed he had no idea the sketch had been cancelled to avoid upsetting him:
"If they want to poke fun at Avatar Sunday, that's OK by me...The Oscars are a celebration of movies...even the gaffes and out-of-bounds stuff are all part of the fun."
The 82nd Annual Academy Awards will be aired live on Movia Extra on Foxtel from 10am Monday 8 March.
