Just a month out from the event, organizers of Jamfest 2010 have rebranded their festival Supafest2010.
The event launched to minimal fanfare earlier this year, with a lineup including Akon, Pitbull, Jay Sean, Kelly Rowland, Eve and Sean Paul, boasting a name similar to festival promoter Jam Music.
It appears the latter issue has placed organizers in a bit of hot water, as they issued a statement this week that reads:
Non Stop Entertainment Pty Limited is proud to be presenting “Supafest 2010” formerly known as “The Jamfest2010” .
Supafest 2010 is a music event featuring some of the worlds leading Urban pop artists such as Akon, Kelly Rowland, Pitbull, Jay Sean, Sean Paul and Eve and is scheduled to tour across Australia from April 13-18 featuring over 5 hours of live entertainment.
The promoters of Supafest 2010 would like to make the following disclaimer:
“Supafest 2010” (formerly known as “the Jamfest 2010”) is not affiliated or associated in any way with Jam, Jam Music or Jam Recordings Pty Ltd
Supafest 2010 is scheduled to take place at Acer Arena in Sydney on April 15, 2010.
