Jennifer Love Hewitt's mum passes away

Patricia, 67, had been battling cancer and passed away on Tuesday.

The news was confirmed by the Ghost Whisperer star's rep in a statement on Wednesday.

"Her family mourns her loss. She was an angel to all who knew her and they are grateful she is now in a better place. They ask for privacy at this difficult time. No further details are being provided," the statement read.
