We're not sure what to make of this one.
P Diddy has told MTV he has produced tunes for Joaquin Phoenix. And the famous producer says he is convinced Phoenix is for real.
So, this could mean Diddy is in on the joke or Phoenix is serious. Of course it could also mean Oscar-nominated Phoenix spent his time in the studio in full rap character and even Diddy has been fooled.
For a while now, Phoenix has been trying to convince people his rap career is a legitimate attempt. The jury is still out on whether the actor is a visionary or a madman.
But Diddy says: "Joaquin's for real.
"If he's not for real, he tricked me.
"We went into the studio, did a record, mixed a record and everything."
If Diddy is trying to keep up the ruse he's doing a good job to contribute to the charade. Joaquin performed at a club in Las Vegas and fell off the stage.
Of course there was also his Late Show With David Letterman performance which has kept everyone baffled.
Even after a Hollywood talent agency screened a film about his career change for savvy movie execs, opinions are split over whether the Casey Affleck-directed project is a documentary or a mockumentary.
The LA Times reported at the time: "Several buyers said the film overflowed with Hollywood debauchery, including more male frontal nudity than you'd find in some gay porn films and a stomach-turning sequence in which someone feuding with Phoenix defecates on the actor while he's asleep."
Tasteful stuff.
What do you think? Has Joaquin lost it or is the joke continuing?
