Folk queen Joni Mitchell slammed Bob Dylan and Madonna in a recent interview with the L.A Times.
When discussing her own music history, Mitchell said Madonna's rise through the 80s marked a move downhill. "Americans have decided to be stupid and shallow since 1980. Madonna is like Nero: She marks the turning point," she said.
When it comes to one of the industry's most admired and respected musicians Bob Dylan, Mitchell made harsh accusations about Dylan allegedly borrowing too heavily from other artists.
"Bob is not authentic at all," she said. "He's a plagiarist, and his name and voice are fake. Everything about Bob is a deception. We are like night and day, he and I."
