Justin Bieber beats One Direction in Billboard's 21 Under 21 list

Billboard has named Justin Bieber its top muso under 21 in its annual 21 Under 21 list, with British sensations One Direction coming in second.

The publication said that Bieber "remains more powerful in the pop universe than ever". His girlfriend, actress and singer Selena Gomez, placed in sixth.

Aussie Cody Simpson also cracked the list, coming in 12th place.
