Justin Timberlake will return to music as film score composer
It's the moment many of us have been waiting for - Justin Timberlake's return to making music - but it's not quite what you may think.
Timberlake will compose the film score for an upcoming flick entitled The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, starring his fiancee, Jessica Biel.
He will also curate the rest of the soundtrack, selecting songs and artists to complement the film.
The Bill Purple-directed film will be set in New Orleans and tells the story of a widower and a girl sailing over the Atlantic Ocean.
Timberlake's last musical output was his massive second solo album, FutureSex/LoveSounds, released in 2006. Since then, the former boy band member has dabbled in acting (The Social Network, Friends With Benefits) and also made a name for himself as an entrepeneur, with ownership stakes in MySpace and a recent foray into interior decorating.
