Kate Langbroek went to Twilight: New Moon last night at midnight with Sacha French. Here’s what Kate thought...
It was cool inside the cinema, cool like inside Edward’s embrace. But outside it was hot like Jacob when he becomes a werewolf.
I loved all four of the books. I particularly loved the first book, the first book is an absolute knock out and I absolutely looooved the first film. This time last year Sach and I were going across the road (to watch the movie) full of trepidation because we thought they might have ruined our most favourite book and it was stunning, we were so happy with it.
OK, so… the second installment of Twilight: New Moon is…. gooooooooooooooooood!!! It is very good! I liked it very much. My only criticism of it would be that there’s not enough Edward in it. But in the second book there’s not much Edward. I won’t go into details but Edward goes away to try to save Bella from her love of him.
They had a different director for this film than they did for the first film, and I thought Catherine Hardwicke who directed the first film did a better job. The special effects were a bit rough actually. I think they got rid of the first director because they wanted a director who was good with special effects but they looked a bit jolty or something.
There’s a classic moment in New Moon because Bella spends the whole movie with Jacob who has been working out, and Taylor Lautner had to work out to keep the role so you get used to seeing Jacob’s massive bronzed body and then there’s this scene in the film where Edward is shirtless and oh my lord, you were like ‘come on dude, you could have done a bit of time in the gym’. They didn’t do enough painting of his abs, they should have done him over like the Sistine Chapel!! But Edward Pattinson’s face is exquisite. Beautiful. They are so beautiful, him and Bella..
I give it 78 out of 100, but the first movie gets 90 from me.
