Katherine Heigl and her husband Josh Kelley adopt their second child

It’s reported that they picked up their second daughter from Louisiana just eight days after she was born.

A source revealed: 'The whole adoption process for Katherine and Josh's second child was like a covert operation,

'As soon as they got the word the baby was born, Katherine and Josh flew from California to Louisiana to pick up their new daughter.'

Katherine and Josh were keen to be as covert as possible, so they enlisted the help of a friend to bring the baby back to LA.

The source said: 'To keep the whole thing under wraps, a friend sat with their baby five rows in back of them on the plane trip back to Los Angeles,

'Only a select few people even know their newborn baby's name.'

Josh is reported to be delighted by the addition to the family, telling friends: 'I'm a dad again! Can you believe it? I'm so happy! I know there will be a lot of sleepless nights coming up for me and Katherine, but I don't care. I'm tickled pink!'

Hmm ‘I’m tickled pink’? We’re not entirely sure about the reliability of this source but anyway, congratulations to both of them.

Katherine recently admitted that she thought she had failed as a mother when her first daughter Naleigh failed to bond with her.

She said: 'At first I blamed myself and thought I was a bad mother. It took a while before I could admit to myself that the lack of trust had nothing to do with me,'

'I fought incredibly hard for my daughter to accept me as mother. Her rejection almost broke my heart,' 
The actress always knew she would adopt a child from Korea because her elder sister was adopted from there.

She said: 'I wanted my own family to resemble the one I came from, so I always knew I wanted to adopt from Korea. We have talked about having biological children as well, but we decided to adopt first.'
