Katie Holmes leaves the Church of Scientology
The emancipation of Katie Holmes continues: she's officially (allegedly) left the Church of Scientology and has registered as a parishoner at a Catholic church in New York.
The Huffington Post broke the news about Holmes' defection, citing a source within the church.
“Everyone is thrilled to have Katie join us,” they quote a member of the Church of St. Francis Xavier as saying. “She has not yet attended a service, but when she does she will be welcomed with open arms."
Holmes was Catholic but announced five years ago that she had begun to study Scientology.
Welcome home, Holmes.
