The announcement comes just days after the Nine Network confirmed that Urban would not be returning to the judging panel on the second series of The Voice, which premiered in Australia this year.
Urban and Minaj will appear alongside Randy Jackson and Mariah Carey, taking the places of Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.
Show host Ryan Seacrest confirmed the news on Twitter, posting, "It's official, your new #IdolJudges are @MariahCarey, @NickiMinaj, @KeithUrban & @Yo_RandyJackson!"
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Carey will be the highest paid of the judges, snaring $18 million in a year. Minaj will reportedly take home $8 million, and Urban just half of that at $4 million.
