Kiwis kicked off My Kitchen Rules

Tonight's My Kitchen Rules battle was down to the wire with Kiwis Simon and Meg sent home.

New South Wales duo Helen and Steve went head to head with Simon and Meg in a sudden death cook-off, with just one point separating the teams at the end of the night.

Helen and Steve scored a 38/60 while Simon and Meg fell just short with 37/60.

“We were one New Zealand team pitted against 11 Australian teams,” Meg said after their elimination. “I believe we represented ourselves and New Zealand very well. It’s been fantastic to get to know everybody. We’ve made some great friends.”

Her partner Simon offered similar sentiments: “Our experience on My Kitchen Rules has been like a roller coaster with high highs, low lows; always at high speed and a thrill a minute. I’d like our five kids to know if you dream something and you really want it, go for it!”

In a shock twist, elimination week will begin tomorrow, with one couple being evicted from the kitchen each night until just four pairs remain.

My Kitchen Rules airs Sundays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on Channel 7.
