It’s easy to imagine why Kristen got so cheesed off that she flipped the finger the other night.
In an exclusive interview with Nova FM, Ricki-Lee commented on the amount of paparazzi waiting outside the Park Hotel for Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner to make that oh-so exciting step outside into the Sydney drizzle.
So with this frenzy following them round all the time, have they really had to do anything differently since they started getting followed around all the time?
“I can’t even flip off babies anymore,” says Kristen, laughing. “I’m not actually flipping off the paparazzi, I’m just just flipping off little infants in front of them. It just looks like I’m flipping off the paparazzi.”
Although not entirely true - Merrick and Dools were thinking up the best excuse she could give to the media for her actions, should she ever which to justify them, which she clearly doesn’t - she agrees, it would be a great defense: “There was a baby right behind the guy!”
Kristen says: “It gets really bad when you’re promoting a movie, but it’s never like THAT” - meaning the pap’s and their current insatiable appetite for a story, at any cost. ”That’s why I’m so surprised when there are like 30 guys chasing you with cameras, ‘cause it’s like, really only when one of these [Twilight] movies are coming out. It’s surprising.”
So what about the questions? Are they getting sick of answering the same old questions from the media and fans, over and over again? We heard many a “Will you marry me?” directed at Taylor at the Sydney Q and A last night.
“No, not at all,“ says Taylor, with his infamous charm. “It’s exciting,”
Kristen cuts in: “I think you go back and forth between getting sick of it and then thinking, well this is totally normal. Then you get sick of it again.”
Aw. We’d get sick of being famous too, Kristen…. maybe.
