Best known for their playboy antics, the boys from Ksubi toned down their catwalk to close an unusually dull Rosemount Australian Fashion Week on Friday evening.
After battling financial woes and missing fashion week for three years, Ksubi designers Dan Single and George Gorrow unveiled a much more considered and mature catwalk free of the gimmicks that gave them their name.
The pair famously sent rats down the runway of one fashion week show.
This year the collection entitled One Via Zero still held Ksubi’s rock-star attiude with bold colours, graffiti type prints and a liberal use of denim.
It closed off what was a very bland fashion week, dominated by a nude palette and little risk-taking if you excuse the avant-garde Romance Was Born from that category.
Arnsdorf opened the final day with a well tailored collection replete with puffy sleeves and modernistic silouhettes completmented by a palette of outback colours of green, orange and sunset pinks.
Ms Couture bought the sex appeal with sophisticated black lingerie contrasted against white, virginial looks.
Swimwear was represented by White Sands, which enjoyed a colour explosion and a few interesting pieces, such as a black one-piece with a slashed back.
Annah Stretton shocked by sending out a painfully thin model in a pink crop top and undies. Definitely a low point in fashion week, which has gone backwards since last year when it showcased 18 plus-size models.
The most wearable collection of the day was from the minds of Hussy. Sexy separates with a strong urban edge bouyed crowds before the much-anticipated close by Ksubi.
