Kylie Minogue glimmers in a shimmery frock as she promotes her new film

Yes, you heard us right – Kylie Minogue is acting again, and what’s more the film she’s starring in is supposed to be rather good.

Surreal French film Holy Motors was the toast of the Cannes when it was screened at the city’s famous film festival a few months ago. Last night the flick had its London premiere at the Curzon cinem, and Kylie was of course on hand to add a touch of glamour in a sequined black dress.

Speaking to the press outside the event, the singer said she was happy to be acting again however had to work hard not to be herself in the role.

"It's good to be acting again,” she said. “It terrifies me in a completely different way and I almost had to unlearn things that I just do naturally, as being 'Kylie'. So, I think I had extra work to get rid of that and to be believable as this character."

Yes, we believe that's actually the job of an actor Kylie but never mind. Her film opens on September 28th in the UK, be warned  - it’s not one for everyone. Watch the preview here to see what we mean.
