But before you start getting all excited, no this isn’t likely to be the beginning of Lindsay’s career revival – the biopic is going to be made for TV channel Lifetime over in the US. It’s hardly big news, but it’s got former TV personality Rosie O’Donnell’s feathers ruffled that’s for sure. Speaking about the troubled actress winning the part she said:
"I feel very sorry for her ... I think she needs a lot of time away ... She's had a lot of trouble doing every single movie, including SNL. She was out and not in rehearsal. I think she's not in a place to work."
When someone suggested that Lindsay basically is this generations Liz Taylor, Rosie snapped back:
“You're out of your mind! You're a crackhead! The last thing she did good she was sixteen."
"I don't think she's right for the role and I don't think she's capable at this point to portray that character."
You won’t be surprised to hear that Michael Lohan took to Twitter after hearing this and had a few harsh words to say about Rosie too:
“Of ALL people, I can’t believe YOU would judge my daughter or her ability. Second chances aren’t up to you, they’re up to God.”
Of course Michael Lohan has used up his chances with anybody long ago, so let’s not listen to him.
Will Lindsay be terrible at playing Liz? Probably, but it’ll make fantastic car crash television won’t it?
