Santa Claus will have to change Lindsay Lohan's address this year to the Betty Ford Clinic, after she was ordered to continue with rehab until at least January 3, 2011.
Lohan appeared in court this morning to face the consequences of violating probation by returning a positive court-ordered drug test last month.
She was facing around a year in jail, but telling Lindsay she was an addict, judge Elden Fox opted to send her back to rehab.
Lohan has been drying out in the Betty Ford Clinic, which treated Keith Urban a few years back, since last month when the positive drug test came through.
She is understood to be unhappy with the new ruling, with sources saying she is worried it will hurt her career as she is unable to meet filming committments.
Yeah, and how has being a drug addict helped your career flourish, LiLo?
At one point during proceedings, Fox said to Lohan: "You are an addict. I hope you understand that." To which Lindsay nodded.
He then continued: "I don't want another train wreck."
The prosecutor was pushing for 180 days in jail.
Now Lindsay will go back to rehab where she will finally have her booze monitoring SCRAM bracelet removed. She is due back in court on February 25 and will be subject to drug testing from the period between her release and the court date.
Fox said if she passes with flying colours, he will then put her on unsupervised probation.
Lindsay was in tears during the hearing and was joined by mum Dina Lohan sitting on one side of the courtroom and dad Michael Lohan sitting on the other.
She did not appear to be wearing a scrap of make-up during the proceedings and wore an unfussy black jacket, white t-shirt and jeans.
