Lindsay Lohan has rejected a court settlement that would require her to get sober, opting to go and party at the Cannes Film Festival instead.
The hard partying actress turned down a settlement that would have resulted in the dismissal of a lawuit against her because it depended on her being sober.
Three men are suing the star, alleging she kidnapped them and endangered their lives during a 2007 hoon through Malibu.
The men's lawyer asked her to pay US$7.5 million to make the case go away and offered to discount the rate by 30 per cent and give her a small refund if she could stay sober for more than two years.
Lawyer Randall Billington alternatively proposed Lindsay put $3 million into a trust for 42 months and if she stayed sober the whole time the money would go to charity, TMZ reported.
Instead she is flirting with jail, partly over a DUI charge that she must attend alcohol education classes for.
On May 20 she must prove to a LA court that she has attended 13 classes, but the reality is she has been to only nine and is now partying hard at the Cannes Film Festival to promote her new flick about Deep Throat's Linda Lovelace.
Hope she likes prisoner stripes!
