As far as investments go, it could be the worst way to spend $2: signing up to a text messaging service to learn what Lleyton and Bec Hewitt have called their baby.
In one of the grubbiest cash grabs yet, the tabloid-funded couple want fans to subscribe to a premium text messaging service to find out their baby's name.
The tennis player and his wife welcomed their third child on the weekend and were quick to cash in, but not with the usual glossy tabloid deals they're famous for.
They will announce the name of their little girl via SMS later this week - classy.
We can see it now: "We r pleased 2 say the baby name is 2 b...".
The service costs $2 a message and is called Text A Star for those idiotic enough to want to sign up.
Frankly, this makes absolutely no sense considering one person will sign up, leak the name and render the $2 that anyone else spent completely unecessary. Haven't the Hewitt's heard of the internet?
And how did this slip by Bec? With her wonderful poetry writing skills (remember the poem she wrote for her wedding), we thought she'd celebrate the arrival by penning a sonnet for all to read. No way will it fit in an SMS.
As a refresher, here is some of Bec's golden poetry skills:
It started that night you called me up
To see if I'd play in the Starlight Cup
Way back then, little did we know
That our love for one another could grow and grow...
...It wasn't 'til late 2004
That I received another phone call
When we decided to meet
We went up the street for something to eat...
...Rebecca Hewitt. I'm your wife!
I promise you one thing, stick with me and you'll have a bloody good life!
