Madonna is the only person on earth who hasn’t heard of One Direction

The Queen of Pop who likes to perform with artists of the moment, such as Nicki Minaj or Britney Spears in her heyday, has no idea who One Direction are.

When she was asked about the boyband in an interview for Daybreak, she says: “That’s a pop group, right? Sorry.”

She is quickly informed that they are a British band, to which she says: “I haven’t seen them yet, no, sorry. Slap my hand.”

Now a couple of months ago we could have forgiven her but seriously 1D are mahoosive both here and across the pond. They’re in the papers every friggin day, is she blind?

She goes on to say that she is a big fan of Adele (thank god she knew who she was) and that she work like to work with her. She said: 'Yes, I would love to. I would love to meet her, I think she’s brilliant, I love her.

'I wanted her to be in the Super Bowl with me, but I think she was having her throat problem or throat operation or something.'

Yeah something like that, you’re nearly there Madge. At least it’s back to the Madonna we know and love, using younger artists to make her music more current.
